The drip irrigation kit for a greenhouse works by gravity feed, without connection to the mains water. You raise the water tank (a barrel or cistern) at least 1 metre above the bed and the water flows slowly directly to the roots of the plants.

If you wish, you can supplement the kit with a water tank and a watering timer that fully automates watering.
